Each month the Cove church community recites a different scripture lesson before the service. If you do not have the ability to come join us in the morning, you can say this scripture!
"I cry out to God Most High, to the God who does everything for me. He sends help from heaven and saves me. He punishes those who chase me. God sends his love and truth" - Psalm 57:2-3
Berea Children's Home Thank You
Cove UMC would like to thank everyone who helped purchase items to send to the Berea Children's Home. Everything was collected in the parlor under the tree all season, and the collection was abundant. There is a list of all of the items that were donated on the wall just inside the parking lot enterance.
Cove United Methodist Church Reaches Out
We believe we have a direct responsibility for people in the “world” around our church. This includes our immediate church community and others who study, work, shop, and play in the community at large.
In this world are people with many hurts, doubts, and questions.
There are some who are new in the community and feel a little lost, some who are proudly self-sufficient, and others who are in desperate circumstances.
Our mission is to reach out to them, listen to them, accept them, share the gospel in word and deed, invite them into the family of faith, and joyfully receive all who will respond.
WE INVITE YOU TO LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR RICH THEOLOGICAL HERITAGE
Putting faith and love into action has continued to be a hallmark of The United Methodist Church
TAKING AN ACTIVE STANCE IN SOCIETY IS NOTHING NEW FOR UNITED METHODISTS
We are a denomination involved with people's lives, with political and social struggles, combining personal and social piety.
THE CHRISTIAN LIFE IS OUR RESPONSE TO GOD'S LOVE AND GRACE
The Christian faith is grounded in the love and grace of God, experienced through Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
WE HAVE A MISSION TO MAKE DISCIPLES
The mission of The United Methodist Church is to make disciples for Jesus Christ. Local churches provide the most significant arena through which disciple-making occurs.
